PG&E to remove 141 Lafayette trees on June 14, 2020

Regular tree trimming around electrical is necessary safety work, but PG&E plans to destroy healthy iconic trees without review or City approval.

PG&E will remove 141 trees along St. Mary Road and Moraga Road, the only major routes in & out of Moraga. PG&E has already cut back limbs 12+ feet in Lafayette, and now they want to remove trees standing 20-30 feet or more away when only 4-feet clearance is required by law. PG&E refuses to provide rationale to the City's Mayor, and PG&E has not reviewed the tree list with the City for accuracy. Help us keep PG&E accountable.
